If the truth is really out there, people are coming to the Valley for answers.

The International UFO Congress is being held at the We-Ko-Pa Resort and Conference Center in Scottsdale Feb. 16-21.

The event holds the Guinness World Record for holding the largest UFO conference in the world.

"There is a lot for anyone with an interest in UFOs to do at the conference," said Alejandro Rojas, conference organizer. "You can listen to lectures from researchers about the real X-Files, watch films about UFOs and aliens that are part of our film festival, or visit the bustling vendor room to talk to researchers and buy UFO stuff."

This is the 25th anniversary of the International UFO Congress, an event that draws attendees from all over the world.

"Another exciting event at the UFO Congress this year is the premiere of a feature film based on an amazing mass UFO sighting that took place in the Phoenix area in 1997, often referred to as the Phoenix Lights," Rojas said.

One of the lecturers even includes former Congressman Merrill Cook, who served in the U.S. House of Representatives representing the 2nd District of Utah.

Back in 2013, he participated in a mock congressional hearing about UFOs.

The conference will also feature presentations by scientists, academics, authors, researchers, experts, and those who say they have experienced paranormal or anomalous phenomena from all over the world.
