Phoenix Incident: U.S. Theatrical Launch April 8, 2016
Blurring the line between fiction and reality, Keith Arem’s debut feature is a sci-fi thriller that revolves around a military conspiracy and the controversial missing persons case tied to the infamous 1997 event. Shot in a unique found-footage / documentary style, the film echoes horror-genre classics such as The Blair Witch Project and Cloverfield.
THE PHOENIX INCIDENT is based on the largest UFO sighting in North America known as the Phoenix Lights. Featuring never-before-seen classified recordings and material, THE PHOENIX INCIDENT presents evidence of an extraterrestrial encounter resulting from the US Air Force’s direct engagement with an unidentified craft over the Estrella Mountains.
“The PHOENIX INCIDENT breaks the mold of traditional films,” said Arem. “We took a trans-media approach to storytelling by incorporating everything from online sources and toll-free call in sites to live events, mobile apps - all pushing towards a theatrical motion picture. This film changes the way stories are told and builds an immersive audience experience.”
The film will be in theaters and VOD nationwide April 8, 2016
