Los Angeles, CA (February 5, 2016) – Call of Duty talent director Keith Arem, and Concourse Media announce U.S. national premiere of UFO conspiracy-thriller THE PHOENIX INCIDENT with Fathom Events on March 10th, 2016.

The multi-platform franchise marks Arem’s feature film debut as writer-director, and became the testing ground for a new way to market and build an audience. “It was clear we needed to reinvent the distribution and marketing model with this movie,” said Arem. “Every element of this project has been an experiment to disrupt the traditional path of developing, marketing and releasing a feature film.”

The film’s release follows an immersive viral marketing campaign, inclusive of dozens of hidden websites, secret bonus footage and audience engagement opportunities to capture the film’s core audience. In addition, Arem’s company PCB will launch the first interactive motion picture app that exapnds the viewing experience and incorporates real-time social media participation.

THE PHOENIX INCIDENT is based on the largest UFO sighting in North America known as the Phoenix Lights. Blurring the line between fiction and reality, the fact based, sci-fi thriller revolves around a military conspiracy and the controversial missing persons case surrounding the infamous 1997 event.

Keith Arem, a native of Arizona where UFO sightings were a frequent reality, is an accomplished gaming industry veteran who has talent directed AAA franchises including Call of Duty, Saints Row, Ghost Recon, Spiderman, Tony Haw Pro Skater and Titanfall. He is also President of Los Angeles-based content creation company PCB Productions, specializing in interactive, film, television and digital media.

“Keith is a man of many talents; his unique gaming background proved priceless in transforming an indie budget project into a visually rich film, rife with action and special effects that can compete on a level with bigger budget pictures,” said Concourse Media co-partner James Andrew Felts. “We’re thrilled to introduce this film to audiences via a smart, multi-platform strategy that takes audiences well beyond the theatre walls.”

The film will be in theaters with Fathom Events on March 10th, 2016.
